Due to 7 January 2026 being declared a day of total fire ban in the central district, all train services at the Daylesford Railway have been cancelled for the safety of our visitors and volunteer staff
If you have booked to travel with us on this day, you will receive further details via email. All fares will be refunded.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.
Train services are scheduled to resume on Sunday 11 January 2026

Our stations and museum
At the Daylesford Railway, we offer more than just a train ride. Each of our railway stations offer a fascinating journey back in time to when the local railway station was an important connection to the outside world for many rural communities.
Each station on our line has a unique story to tell and our original stations have been faithfully restored to a specific time period, offering you the chance to truly travel back in time
Daylesford railway station also houses our small museum collection with a unique display within the main waiting room.
