BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By booking a ticket to travel on the Daylesford Railway, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions.
· Please follow all reasonable directions and safety instructions from railway staff.
· Please do not enter closed off sections of the railway, including areas of track.
· Do not open carriage doors when the train is in motion.
· When stationary, ensure a platform is present before stepping out.
· Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all areas of the railway.
· Alcohol is not to be consumed at any time unless in attendance at a designated and licensed function.
OUR PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY From time to time Daylesford Railway staff or other parties carry out photography and/or filming on its premises, which may feature visitors.
By entering on to Daylesford Railway premises, you agree to the use of such images in perpetuity in any promotional, advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with Daylesford Railway or such authorised party (as the case may be).
OUR FIRE DANGER POLICY
On declared days of Extreme Fire Danger in the Central Zone train services will be cancelled.
On declared days of Catastrophic Fire Danger in the Central Zone the railway (including the Sunday Market) will close and will not operate. Impacted parties will be contacted via phone and/or email as soon as operational changes have been decided to make alternate arrangements.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Tickets are non-refundable or transferable, nor redeemable for cash or credit.
Whilst every attempt is made to honour all bookings, Daylesford Railway reserves the right to alter events, timetables or rolling stock without prior notice.
There are no refunds for forfeited tickets – this includes circumstances of change of mind or non-attendance; nor will tickets be refunded should your preferred seat, locomotive or service not operate if an alternative is available.
Should Daylesford Railway be unable to run a train or an event, we will endeavour to transfer your booking to another date. However, if this is not possible, a full refund will be given.
One of our volunteers will notify you of any cancellation by email and/or phone as soon as possible. Any refund is at the absolute discretion of Daylesford Railway.
Under the provisions of the Tourist and Heritage Railway act (2010), Daylesford Railway reserves the right to direct any member of the public to leave our grounds or refuse entry should they be deemed to be acting counter to the stipulated rules above, intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances, or otherwise acting in an antisocial manner.
