Daylesford Railway is the only railway preservation group in Victoria which is an accredited museum under the Community Museums Accreditation Program (CMAP) of Museums Australia.

It is our philosophy that Daylesford Railway will be a vibrant regional tourist attraction by developing, maintaining, and operating a public access museum that preserves and recreates the railway landscape, structures, rolling stock, technology, procedures, and human skills of the Victorian Railways. It will showcase Victoria’s unique branch line rail heritage and its contribution to the communities of Regional Victoria.
