RAILWAY OPERATIONS

Traffic Branch is responsible for our rail services with a range of roles as drivers, fireman and guards on the trains as well as signallers who co-ordinate the train movements. All work together to ensure the safety of our operations.

​These front-line volunteers are supported by others in roles from rostering the crews and training. Operations roles generally have a progression with increasing experience and higher medical standards, as well as more extensive training needs.

Training is delivered in house and can be tailored to meet individual needs, with much of it now available online. In addition we have an Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program, so you can bring your experience with you and not have to start from scratch.
